Nicola recognised there was a need for home visit ear wax removal following a decline in ear syringing and ear wax removal services at local Southampton GP Surgeries. Nicola is fully trained in both water irrigation and Microsuction and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA). She has since developed these skills and gained new skills whilst working in both the NHS and private work settings along the South Coast before setting up Wessex Ear Care. Nicola learned invaluable skills to listen and understand each patients needs along with the technical side of performing hearing tests, fitting hearing aids and giving advice for tinnitus. Nicola studied BSc Audiology at the University of Southampton beginning her career in NHS placements in the South East of England.
